Welcome to my small cake business 

My name is Annie, I am 26 years old and have enjoyed baking ever since I can remember. I have always had a passion for baking since a young age and would come home from school and try to bake something sweet all of the time with my favourite subject being Food Technology.

In food tech I can remember one time we were asked to make something unique and sweet. I came up with a Jaffa cake cupcake and created a vanilla sponge muffin, some orange jam filling, topped with dark chocolate... I was very impressed with how it turned out.

I completed my training in Cake Baking, Decorating and Frosting and have 3 years experience in the industry, I also have my Level 2 Food Safety and hygiene for catering certification. I am growing and learning every time I get to create my customers cakes and bakes and it is very important to me to try perfect my own work as much as possible to provide my clientele with the best presentation and taste.

Baking is what I enjoy doing most, it's so therapeutic creating different decoration, flavours and designs to my products to give them they're unique finish. The most important thing is making sure they taste 10/10... On the decorating and frosting side, the finishing product really feels like a work of art when everything is bought together. I aim to be creative as possible with my work to provide the best for my customers.

The Cakery can cater for every occasion from Birthdays, Weddings, Baby Showers to anything you can think of where a delicious cake would be needed.

30th Birthday Cake

This cake was a 8'' 3 layer vanilla sponge with caramel buttercream and a homemade salted caramel filling, perfect and pink for a lovely birthday celebration.

Mermaid Birthday Cake

Here we have a 6'' 3 layer vanilla sponge with vanilla buttercream and a strawberry jam filling. This mermaid themed cake is filled with beautiful pastel decorations, handmade white chocolate shells and mermaid tails. Finished with some crushed digestives as sand around the bottom. A perfect bake for a taste of magic under the sea.

Ombre Blue One Tier Wedding Cake

 

This blue ombré cake was made for a wedding celebration. It is small and sweet, perfect for if you want something simple on your big day. A raspberry jam filling and vanilla buttercream was added to this 6'' 3 layer vanilla sponge.
